Immanuel also seeks to serve our community. We believe it is Jesus' command for us to live for the benefit of our neighbor. Doing so we show forth God's love. For example, at times we make our doors open to some very beneficial organizations and for constructive causes.
The AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) organization meets in our facilities. Confidentiality is fundamental to this group. If you have need of this organization, feel free to contact the church office and we'll seek to get you further information or you can call an alcoholism hotline number, which can be found in the phone book.
Various Scouting troops meet in our buildings. Contact your local Scouting office for more details.
Our modern kitchen and multipurpose rooms are also employed. For example, voting takes place here on Election Days. Several weeks in the summer, S.W.I.C. holds youth cooking classes here. Immanuel's multipurpose room and kitchen can be rented at a nominal fee for activities such as anniversaries, birthdays, baby showers, family reunions, etc. Contact the church office for rental information and scheduling. Weight Watchers holds meetings here on Thursdays at 9:00a.m. and at 5:00p.m. Contact Weight Watchers for more information.
