Help Hurricane Katrina Survivors
To send a gift for disaster relief, make your check payable to LCMS World Relief and Human Care, 1333 South Kirkwood Road, St. Louis, MO 63122-7295 (Credit Card Gift Line: 1-888-930-4438). In the memo line, indicate how you'd like the gift designate, e.g., "Hurricane Relief 2005," "Where needed most," etc. Thank you, and God's blessings.

LCFS of Missouri offers counseling services to area people affected by Katrina Funded by a grant from the Board of Directors of the Lutheran Foundation, Lutheran Family and Children's Services of Missouri is offering counseling services to individuals and families in the metro St. Louis area who are affected by the Hurricane Katrina disaster. Many people in the St. Louis area have family or friends directly affected by the hurricane or have evacuees staying with them. A disaster like Katrina can cause trauma to persons in many ways. Lutherans care and are here to assist. For counseling or more information please call Lutheran Family and Children's Services at 314-787-5100.
Update of LCMS Churches and Schools in New Orleans as of 08/31
LUTHERAN HOUR MINISTRIES is sponsoring a special project called "Backpacks For Kids" to provide school backpacks filled with supplies for the children displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Participants simply collect back-to-school supplies, write a brief note and send the supplies to the collection center at Concordia Publishing House, 3558 S. Jefferson Ave., St. Louis, MO 63118-3968. Donate Bibles to hurricane victims! The victims of Hurricane Katrina need food, water, and other necessary supplies but they also need hope - a hope that can only be found in our Savior, Jesus Christ. Donate new and gently used Bibles to show those suffering that Jesus cares for them. Concordia Gospel Outreach, the mission outreach agency of Concordia Publishing House, will distribute all gifts to the churches and other agencies aiding in the disaster relief in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Ship your Bible donations to : Concordia Gospel Outreach, CGO/Hurricane Disaster, 3558 S. Jefferson Ave., St. Louis, Mo 63118. If you would prefer to drop them off in the church office, you may do so. One of the pastors will deliver them to CPH.
